नहीं, चूँकि यह जलीय विलयन में `H ^(+ )` आयन नहीं देता है। इसके विपरीत यह बोरिक अम्ल `H _(3 ) BO _(3 )` या `B (OH ) _(3 )` इलेक्ट्रॉन युग्म ग्राही है।
