Escape velocity from the surface of moon is `nu_(e) =sqrt((2GM_(m))/(R_(m))`
Subsituting the values, We have
`nu_(e) =sqrt ((2 xx 6.67 xx 10^(-11) xx 7.4 xx 10 ^(22))/(1.74 xx 10 ^(6)))`
`= 2.4 xx 10^(3) m//s = 2.4 km//s`.
