Correct Answer - A::B::C
(a) Molar heat capacity `C` is given by
`C = C_V + R/ (1 - x)`
in the process `p V^(x) =` constant .
Now, `C_V = 3/2 R` for monoatomic gas.
Further, the given process can be written as
`PV^-1 = constant`
`:. x = -1`
Substituting the values in Eq. (i), we have
`C = 3/2 R + R(1 + 1) = 2 R`
(b) `Q or DeltaQ = n C Delta T`
Substituting the values, we have
`Delta Q = (2) (2R) (300)`
= `1200 R`.
