अपवर्तनांक 1.55 के काँच से दोनों फलको की समान वक्रता त्रिज्या के उभयोत्तल लांस निर्मित करने है । यदि 20 सेमी फोकस -दूरी के लेंस निर्मित करने है तो आपेक्षित वक्रता त्रिज्या क्या होगी ?

लेंस मेकर सूत्र `(1)/(f)=(n-1)((1)/(R_(1))-(1)/(R_(2)))` में प्रत्येक पृष्ठ की त्रिज्या सामान है, `R_(1)=+R` तथा `R_(2)=-2` तब
`(1)/(f)=(n-1)((1)/(R)+(1)/(R))=(2(n-1))/(R)`
अथवा वक्रता - त्रिज्या `=2(n-1)f`
`=2(1.55-1)xx20=22` सेमी |
