एक धातु से पृष्ठ से उत्सर्जित प्रकाश-इलेक्ट्रॉनों का निरोधी विभव `V_(1)` है , जब आवृत्ति `v_(1)` का एकवर्णीय प्रकाश इस एकवर्णीय प्रकाश इस पर डाला जाता है । जब एक अन्य आवृत्ति का एकवर्णीय प्रकाश डाला जाता है , तो निरोधी विभव `V_(2)` हो जाता है , यदि h प्लांक नियतांक है तथा e इलेक्ट्रॉन का आवेश है तो दूसरी स्थिति में प्रकाश की आवृत्ति है :

Correct Answer - D
`hv_(1) = W + eV_(1)`
`hv_(2) = W + eV_(2)`
`h(V_(2) - V_(1)) = e (V_(2) - V_(1))`
`v_(2) = (e)/(h) (V_(2) - V_(1))+v_(1)`.
