काँच (`mu` = 1.5) के एक उत्तल लेंस की फोकस दूरी 2 सेमी है। यदि इस लेंस को एक द्रव में डुबाया जाये, तो इसकी फोकस दूरी क्या होगी? द्रव का अपवर्तनांक 1.25 है।

दिया है - `._amu_g=1.5, ._amu_l=1.25, f_a=+2` सेमी
`._lmu_g=(._amu_g)/(._amul)=1.5/1.25=6/5=1.2`
सूत्र - `f_(1)/(f_a) =(._amu_g-1)/(._l mu_g -1) ` से ,
`f_l/(+2)=(1.5-1)/(1.2-1)`
या `f_l/(+2)=0.5/0.2`
`therefore f_1`=5 सेमी
