(A) आइन्स्टाइन की प्रकाषवैद्युत समीकरण से
`K_("max")=hv-W=(hC)/(lambda)-phi_(0)`
यदि `lambda_(1)` तरंगदैर्ध्य की सांगत अधिकतम गतिज ऊर्जा `K_(1)` तथा `lambda_(2)` तरंगदैर्ध्य के सांगत `K_(2)` हो तो
`K_(1)=(HC)/(lambda_(1))-phi_(0) therefore + phi_(0)=(hc)/(lambda_(1))`
`therefore (K_(1)+ph_(0))/(k_(2)+phi_(0))=(lambda_(2))/(lambda_(1))`
मान रखने पर `(0.46 eV+phi_(0))/(0.875 eV+ phi_(0))=(5000 Å)/(6000 Å)=5/6`
(B) समीकरण 1 से `h=(K_(1)+W lambda_(1))/(3xx10^(8))`
`=6.64xx10^(-34)` जुल सेकंड
`lambda_(0)=(hc)/(phi_(0))=(6.64xx10^(-34))xx(3xx10^(8))/(1.615xx1.6xx10^(-19))`
`=7.709xx10^(-7)` मीटर =7709 Å
