चित्र में दर्शाये गए परिपथ में AB अब विभवमापी का तार है , जिसकी लम्बाई 1 मीटर तथा प्रतिरोध 2 ओम है । अज्ञात वि वा बल के स्रोत्र के साथ संतुलन बिंदु सिरे A से 70 सेमी की दूरी पर प्राप्त होता है । अज्ञात स्रोत्र का वि वा बल क्या है ?

दिया है - `epsilon =2` वोल्ट, L = 1 मीटर = 100 सेमी,
l = 100 सेमी, तार AB का प्रतिरोध `R=2 Omega, epsilon_(1) = ?`
विभवमापी के तार AB में बहने वाली धारा,
`I=(2)/(18+2)=(2)/(20)=0.1` ऐम्पियर
अतः तार AB के अनुदिश विभव - प्रवणता,
`phi=(V)/(L)=(R.I)/(L)`
`=(2xx0.1)/(100)=2xx10^(-3)` वोल्ट/सेमी
अब सूत्र- `epsilon_(1)=phi l` से,
`epsilon_(1)=2xx10^(_3)xx70=140xx10^(-3)`
= 0.14 वोल्ट ।
