(b) LH and FSH are the gonadotropins. Both LH and FSH increase during follicular phase and stimulate follicular development, secretion of estrogen by the growing follicles. LH surge (rapid secretion of LH) during mid cycle / 14th day induces rupture of graffian follicle and release of ova / secondary oocyte
