ASCII means American Standard Code for Information Interchange. It is a 7 bit code. Each and every character on the, keyboard is represented in memory by using ASCII Code. 

Eg:- A’s ASCII Code is 65 (1000001). 

a’s ASCII Code is 97 (1100001)
