If the nth term of a GP -2, 4, -8, 16 is 1024. Find n.

Given; r = \(\frac{4}{-2}\) = -2; tn = 1024 

⇒ 1024 = arn-1

⇒ 1024 = -2(-2)n-1 

⇒ 1024 = (-2)n

⇒ (-2)10 = (-2)n 

⇒ n = 10.
