Below are the steps that needs to be followed to find the square root of a number that have numbers after decimal point :
1. Place a suitable number of pair of zeros after the decimal point.
2. Now find the square root of the number using long division method.
Please refer to video to see the long division method to find the square root.
3. After that round off the quotient.

With these steps,
`sqrt3.1428 = 1.772`

`sqrt0.31428 = 0.560`
