16 m + 16 m = 32 m
Total time taken = 4 s + 2 s = 6 s
`"Average speed" = ("Total distance travelled")/("total time taken")`
`= (32 m)/( 6 s) = 5.33 m s^(–1)`
Therefore, the average speed of the object is `5.33 m s^(–1)`.
