Find the value of k for which the points P(5, 5), Q(k, 1) and R(11, 7) are collinear

Since they are collinear, the area will be 0

Expanding with C3 → 0 

= (7k-11)-(35-55)+(5-5k) 

→ 0 = 2k-14 

→ 2k = 14 

∴ k = 7
