Let the radius of the sphere be r units, then the volume of the sphere will be `(4)/(3)pir^(3)` cu-units.
Now, if the radius be doubed, the volume of the sphere will be `(4)/(3)pixx(2r)^(3)` cu-units =`8xx(4)/(3)pir^(3)` cubic-units. ltbrlt I,e, the volume of the sphere will be 8 times of its previous volume. Hence the given statement is false.
