The given equations are
` 10 x + 3y = 75 " " `… (i)
` 6x - 5y = 11 " " `… (ii)
Multiplying (i) by 5 and (ii) by 3, we get
` 50 x + 15 y = 375 " " `… (iii)
` 18x - 15y = 33 " " `... (iv)
Adding (iii) and (iv), we get
` 68 x 408 rArr x = (408)/(68) rArr x = 6`.
Putting ` x = 6` in (i), we get
` (10 xx 6) + 3y = 75 rArr 60 + 3y = 75 `
` therefore x = 6, y = 5`.
