If the ares of threes consective surface of a paralleloip- shape box be 50 sq. cm, 40 sq cm and 20 sq-cm repectively. Find the volume of the box.

Let the length, breatdth and height of the box be x cm, y cm and z cm respectively. As per question , xy =50 m yz=40 and zx = 20
`therefore xy xx yz xx zc = 50 xx 40 xx 20` or, `(xyz)^2 = 50 xx 2 xx 20 xx 20 or (xyz)^2 = 100 xx 20 xx 20`
or `(xyz)^2 = (10 xx 20)^2 `
`rArr xyz = 10 xx 20 = 200`
Hence the volume of the box = 200 cc.
