Best answer

Number = x , then its reciprocal = 1/x

then \(x+\frac{1}{x}=\frac{2}{3}\)

(x2 + 1) x 3 = 2x

3x2 - 2x + 3 = 0

Since the discriminant is negative. We do not get a solution.

∴ The sum of a numbrer and it’s reciprocal never gives 2/3.
