परवलय का समीकरण
`" "2y^(2) + 3y - 4x - 3 =0`
`rArr" "2(y^(2) + (3)/(2)y) = 4x+3`
`rArr2[y^(2) +2y(3)/(4)+((3)/(2))^(2)-((3)/(4))^(2) ] = 4x + 3`
`rArr" "2[(y +(3)/(4))^(2) -(9)/(16)] =4x + 3`
`rArr" "2(y+(3)/(4))^(2) = 4x + 3+(9)/(8)= 4x +(33)/(8)`
`rArr" "(y+(3)/(4))^(2) = 2x +(33)/(16)`
`rArr" "(y+(3)/(4))^(2) = 2 (x+(33)/(32))" ".....(ii)`
माना `" "Y = y +(3)/(4)` तथा `X = x +(33)/(32)`
तब समीकरण (ii) `rArr" "Y^(2) = 2X`
`therefore` अक्ष का समीरकण , `Y = 0 rArr y +(3)/(4) = 0 rArr y = - (3)/(4)`
शीर्ष पर स्पर्शी का समीकरण , `X = 0 rArr x + (33)/(32) = 0 rArr x = - (33)/(32)`
`rArr` शीर्ष के निर्दशाक `= (-(33)/(32) , - (3)/(4))`
नाभिलंम्ब की लम्बाई `=|4a| = |2| = 2`
नाभि के निर्दशाक `= X = a` तथा `Y = 0`
`rArr" "x = (-17)/(32) , y = (-3)/(4)`
` = ((-17)/(32), (-3)/(4))`
तथा नियता का समीकरण `X = - a`
`rArr" "x +(33)/(32) = - (1)/(2)`
`rArr" " x = - (49)/(32)`
