`rArr theta , (pi)/(2) ` व `pi` के बीच स्थित होगा अर्थात `(pi)/(2) lt theta lt pi `

यदि ` cos theta =(-1)/( 3) ` तब ` " " tan theta =-sqrt( 8) `
तब बिंदु `(x_1,y_1) ` से होकर जाने वाली रेखा का समीकरण
` " " y- y_ 1 =m (x-x_1 ) " "...(i) `
प्रश्नानुसार `x_ 1 =1 ,y_ 1 =2 ` तथा ` m= tan theta =- sqrt( 8) `
ये सभी मान समीकरण (i ) में रखने पर
` " " y-2 =(-sqrt(8) )( x-1) `
`rArr " "sqrt( 8) x+ y -sqrt( 8)- 2=0 `
`rArr " "2sqrt( 2)x+ y -2 (sqrt( 2)+ 1) )=0 `
