रेखा `2x+7y=14`
दोनों ओर 14 से भाग देने पर , त`(x)/(7)+(y)/(2)=1` तथा `(x)/(a)+(y)/(b)=1` की तुलना से ,
`a=7,b=2`
x - अक्ष पर कटे अन्त : खण्ड की माप =7 मात्रक
y -अक्ष पर कटे अन्त : खण्ड की माप =2 मात्रक
