In an adiabatic process ,no transfer of heat takes place between system and surroundings.Choose the correct option for free expansion of and ideal gas under adiabatic condition from the following `:`
A. `q=0 , Delta cancel(=) 0,w=0`
B. `q cancel(=) 0, DeltaT =0,w=0`
C. `q =0,DeltaT=0, w=0`

Correct Answer - c
For free expansion , `P_(ext) = 0,w = - P _(ext) DeltaV=0`
For adiabatic process , `q=0`
`:. DeltaU =q+w= 0`. This means that internal energy remains constant which is so at constant temperature. Hence `DeltaT =0`
