At high temperature `(45^(@)C),1,4-` addition product is more favourable.
Mechanism :
Intermediat carbocation `(I)` is mroe stable than intermediate carboncation `(II)`, since in `(I)`, the positive charge is dispersed to more`-` substituted carbon. Thus, the product obtained from `(I)` is more stable and is in major amount.
