product of two numbers is zero, then at least one of them is zero, we get

∴ The roots of the given quadratic equation are 1/2 and 1/2.

ii.

By using the property, if the product of two numbers is zero, then at least one of them is zero, we get

∴ 3x – 2 = 0 or 2x + 1 = 0

∴ 3x = 2 or 2x = -1

∴ x = 2/3 or 2x = -1

∴ The roots of the given quadratic equation are 2/3 and -1/2.
