760 मिमी दाब तथा `0^(@)C` ताप पर किसी गैस का घनत्व 6.4 ग्राम प्रति लीटर है। 570 मिमी दाब पर उसका घनत्व क्या होगा ? यदि ताप स्थिर रहे।

गैस समीकरण के अनुसार,
`PV = (w)/m) = RT`
या `P = (w)/(Vm) RT` या `P = (d)/(m) RT" "(d = (w)/(V))`
अतः समान ताप पर किसी गैस के लिए,
`(P_(1))/(d_(1)) = (P_(2))/(d_(2))`
प्रश्नानुसार, `P_(1) = 760` मिमी, `d_(1) = 6.4`
ग्राम प्रति लीटर,
`P_(2) = 570` मिमी, `d_(2) = ?`
`d_(2) = (P_(2) xx d_(1))/(P_(1)) = (570 xx 6.4)/(760) = 4.8` ग्राम प्रति लीटर
