The order of reactivity of carbonium ions is `1^(@)gt2^(@)gt3^(@)`. Carbon atom in carbonium ion is `sp^(2)` state of hybridisation. The three hybridized of there `sigma` bonds with three atoms involved in the formation of three `sigma` bonds with three atoms or group while the unhybridised `p`-orbital remains vacant.
