Assertion : A ionic product is used for any types of electrolytes whereas solubility product is applicable only to sparingly soluble salts.
Reason : ionic product is definef at any stage of the reaction whereas solubility product is only applicable to the saturation stage

B. If both assertion and reason are true but reason is not the correct explanation of the assertion.
C. If assertion is true but reason is false.
D. If assertion is false but reason is true.

For sparingly soluble salts, reason is not the correct explantion. Hence both assertion and reason are true but reason is not a correct explantion of assertion.
