Out of aphelion and perihelion, where is the speed of the earth more and why ?

Refer to Fig. Aphelion `A` is the location at which the earth is at the greater distance from the sun and perihelion `P` is the location at which the earth is at the smaller distance from the sun. Since areal velocity of the earth around the sun is constant, therefoe, the speed of the earth at the perihelion is more than that at the aphelion.
