Total cross- sectional area,
`A= 2 xx 10 cm^(2) = 20xx 10^(-4)m^(2)`
`F= 40 kg wt = 40 xx 10 N = 400 N`
Average pressure, `P=F/A = (400)/(20 xx 10^(-4))`
`= 2 xx 10^(5) Nm^(-2)`.
