When the displacement of bob is less than maximum, there will be two component accelerations `vec(a)_(T)` and `vec(a)_(C)` of the bob as shown in figure, . Their resultant acceleration `vec(a)` will be represented by the diagonal of the parallelogra. Hence, option (c) is true.
