Best answer
`theta_(1) = (10 +- 0.4)^(@)C`
`theta_(2) = (40 +- 0.3)^(@)C`
`Delta theta = +- (Delta theta_(1) + Delta theta_(2))`
`= +- (0.4 + 0.3)^(@)C`
`= +- 0.7^(@)C`
`theta_(1) + theta_(2) = 10 + 40 = 50^(@)C`
`theta_(2) - theta_(1) = 40 - 10 = 30^(@)C`
Hence sum of temperature `= (50 +- 0.7 )^(@)C`
Difference of temperatures `= (30 +- 0.7)^(@)C`
