Best answer
Correct Answer - C
Transverse axis
Proof: The focal distance of any point (x, y) on hyperbola `x^(2)/a^(2)-y^(2)/b^(2)=1` is
`e|x|-a` from the nearer focus
`e|x|+a` form the farther focus.
Difference `= (e|x|+a)-(e|x|-a)=2a`
= length of transverse axes.
