It is wrong because sex of child is determiend by gamtes formed by man who is heterogametic for sex chromosomes (XY) wheareas woman is homogametic (XX). Male produce two type of games t(50% with X chromosome and 50% it Y Chromosome). On the other hand, female produced gameets carrying X chromosome only. If the the ovum of of a female fertilizes with sperm having Y chromosome, the zygote develops into male (XY) and if fertilises sperm hving X chromosome, the zygote develops into female (XX).
