How are electromagnetic waves produces by oscillating charges ? Draw a sketch of linearly polarized EM waves propagating in z-direction. Indicate the direction of oscillating electric and magnetic fields

An electric charge at rest has electric field around it but no magnetic field .A moving charge produces both electric and magnetic field but of constant value . But if a charge is moving with finite acceleration both megnetic and electric field will charge in space and time and thus an e.m. wave is produced .
