Draw a circuit diagram of a full-wave rectifier. Explain its working principle. Draw the input/output wave forms indicating clearly the function of the two diode used.

Working : When positive half cycle of AC input signal flows thrugh the primary coil, induced emf is set up in the secondary coil due to mutual induction. Let the direction of the induced e.m.f. be such that the upper end of the secondry coil become + ve while the lower end lower end become - ve this makes `D_(1)` forward biased and `D_(2)` reverse biased current due to diode `D_(1)` flows through the circuit as shown in fig (i) and when `D_(1)` si reverse biased `D_(2)` will become forward biased and current in diode `D_(2)` flows through the circuit as shown in fig (ii) hence unidirectional current will always flow in Load Resistance `R_(L)`.
