(i) Total agricultural land use and other non-agricultural land use of 1990-91 show decline in 2010-11. Increased urbanisation could be reason for this

(ii) Agricultural land use is the maximum. It indicates that India is an agrarian country and its environment is comparatively more natural.

(iii) A decline in the area under agriculture cannot be equated with food shortage. With modern technology, the maximum agricultural food production can be undertaken in limited areas.
