Correct Answer - D
Double fertilisation is the characteristic feature of angiosperms. In double fertilisation, one male gamete of pollen tube fuses with the egg of the ovule to produce zygote and another male gamete fuses with diploid polar nuclei to produce triploid endosperm.
Thus, the total five nuclei are involved in the entire process of double fertilisation.
