2. Pentan-3-ol on oxidation with K₂Cr₂O₇ and dilute H₂SO₄ forms Pentan-3-one.

3. 2,2-Dimethylpropan- I -ol on oxidation with K₂Cr₂O₇ or KMnO₄ and dilute H₂SO₄ forms 2,2-Dimethyipropanal.
