Correct Answer - D
Formula is `2^(n)` where n=number of haploid chromosomes. 12 chromosomes i.e, n=6. according to our formula 2 pairs of chromosomes can recombine in `(2)^(2)` ways and, therefore, 6 pairs in `(2)^(6)` ways=64.
