Best answer
In series combination, `L_(S) = L_(1) + L_(2)`
In parallel combination, `L_(p) = (l_(1) L_(2))/(L_(1) + L_(2))`
As the two inductors are sufficient distance apart, mutual inductance between them is ignored.
