Best answer
`V=Ed=(5xx10^(5))xx(500xx10^(-9))=0.25V`
Max. K.E. of an electron to cross the potential barrier
`V=eV=1.6xx10^(-19)xx0.25J`
`=(1.6xx10^(-19)xx0.25)/(1.6xx10^(-19))eV=0.25 eV`
