1. Take non-metal oxide in a test tube. Add water in the test tube. Test the solution with blue and red litmus paper. Red litmus paper remains as it is while blue litmus paper turns red. This shows that nonmetal oxides are acidic in nature.
2. The oxides of non-metals are acidic in nature. They react with bases to form soluble salt and water. Therefore, non-metal oxides are acidic in nature.
