Correct Answer - B
The configuration about each chiral carbon is determined separately and numbers are used to specify each carbon. At `C-2`, the four ligands are their priority order are: `OH gt` the carbon chain `CH(CI)CH_(3) gtCH_(3) gtH`. The configuration is `R`. The prioority order of the four ligands bonded to `C-3` are: `CI gt` ther carbon chain `CH(OH)CH_(2)CH_(3) gtCH_(2)CH_(3) gtH`. the `C-3` is also `R`. Therefore, the full name of the given configuration is `(2R,3R)-3-` chloropentan`-2-ol`. Referring to `Q.3`, the full name of `II`(mirror image of `I`) is `(2S,3S,)III` (diastereomer of `I`) is `(2R,3S)` and `IV` (mirror image of `III)` is `(2S,3R)`.
