How is acidity cured with cimetidine or ranitidine ?

Histamine is responsible for stimulating secretion of HCl and Pepsin in the stomach by binding to gastric receptors. Cimetidine or Ranitidine would inhibit the binding of histamine to gastric receptors thereby decreasing the secretion of acid in the stomach.
