Calculate the rate of reaction for the change 2A -----> Products, when rate constant of the reaction is 2.1 x 10-5 time-1 and [A]0 = 0.2 M.

The unit of rate constant suggest it to be first order.

Thus rate = K [A]

= 2.1 x 10-5 x 0.2 

= 4.2 x 10-6 mol litre-1 sec-1
