The embryo gets implanted at blastocyst stage. The trophoblast gets attached to the endometrium uterine wall of mother by a process called implantation and the inner mass of cells gets differentiated as embryo. After attachment, the uterine cells divide rapidly and cover the blastocyst. As a result, the blastocyst gets embedded in the endometrium of the uterus.
