सेल निम्न प्रकार होगा
`Br_((aq.))^(-)|(1)/(2)Br_(2(aq.))||Fe_((aq.))^(3+)|Fe_((aq.))^(2+)`
`E_("cell")^(2)=E_("cathode")^(@)-E_("Anode")^(@)`
`=0.771-1.09=-0.32V`
अतः `E^(@)` का ऋणात्मक मान यह प्रदर्शित करता है कि `Fe^(3+)` द्वारा `Br^(-)` का ऑक्सीकरण ब्रोमीन में नहीं होगा ।
