1. It has a central embryonal axis and two lateral cotyledons.
2. The portion of embryonal axis above the level of cotyledons is the epicotyl, which terminates in the plumule (stem tip).
3. The cylindrical portion below the level of cotyledon is hypocotyl that terminates in the radicle (root tip)
4. The root is covered with a root cap.
