एकवर्णी किरण-पुंज के लिए एक प्रिज्म का अपवर्तनांक `sqrt2` है तथा इसका अपवर्तन कोण `60^@` है। इस किरण-पुंज में न्यूनतम विचलन होने के लिए आपतन कोण का मान क्या होगा?

सूत्र -`mu=("sin" (A+delta_m)/2)/("sin" A//2)`
तथा न्यनतम विचलन की स्थिति में `i=(A+delta_m)/2`
दिया है : `mu=sqrt2,A=60^@`
सूत्र में मान रखने पर , `sqrt2=("sin"(A+delta_m)/2)/("sin"60^@/2)`
`sqrt2=("sin"(A+delta_m)/2)/("sin"30^@)`
`sin(A+delta_m)/2 =sqrt2 sin 30^@ =sqrt2xx1/2=1/sqrt2`
`(A+delta_m)/2=45^@`
`therefore i=45^@`
