अमोनियम के विघटन की अभिक्रिया निम्न प्रकार होती है।
`2NH_(3) to N_(2) + 3H_(2)`
अभिक्रिया का वेग `= (d[N_(2)])/(dt) = k [ सांद्रता]^(0)`
क्योकि अभिक्रिया की कोटि = शून्य
अत: `= (d[N_(2)])/(dt) = 2.5 xx 10^(-4) mol L^(-1) s^(-1)`
तथा `H_(2)` के बनने की दर `= (d[H_(2)])/(dt) = 3xx (d[N_(2)])/(dt)`
अत `H_(2)` के बनने की दर `=3 xx 2.5 xx 10^(-4) mol L^(-1) s^(-1)`
` =7.5 xx 10^(-4) mol L^(-1) s^(-1)`
